Most families prefer laminate flooring for its durability and longevity. Very easy to clean. With proper cleaning and maintenance, it can live up to its reputation. Check out some of those guidelines here:
Wipe dry instead of sweeping
Traditional brooms are not suitable for cleaning laminate floors as they leave many particles that can damage the floor. Instead, a vacuum cleaner or dry mop are better alternatives. You can also use a damp cloth. The surface layer is very hard and does not easily get dirty, so you can clean it gently. Cleaning can be done by purchasing a commercially available laminate floor cleaner at a hardware store or by simply using a combination of water and vinegar.
remove dirt
If you spill liquid, wipe it up immediately. Don’t let it rest and seep inside as it will ruin the floorboards. Gently rub the area with a damp cloth. If the dirt is difficult to remove, wipe it off with a clean cloth moistened with nail polish remover or acetone. For gum or candle wax, wipe the area with ice and scrape it off with a plastic scraper. Avoid wax-based products, water, soaps, detergents and other cleaning agents.
Polish it up to make it even more glossy
Everyone likes a super shiny floor and for that extra shine, nothing beats buffing with a clean, dry cloth after a thorough cleaning is complete. However, sanding should be as gentle as possible. Please go to
soil protection
Place a doormat or rug to collect materials such as sand, dirt, oil, and asphalt. We recommend a mat made of natural materials that does not get dirty. A vinyl carpet underlay can be used to prevent the carpet from slipping or moving. Floor protectors and furniture pads help minimize scratches and damage when placing heavy furniture. Device and furniture feet can be equipped with protective felt gliders. If there are spills or stains, clean them up as soon as possible. If you have pets, trim their nails regularly to prevent scratching. Try to keep the humidity between 35% and 65%. Do not push heavy objects to the floor. Rather, pick them up and reposition them. For small dents and scratches, use fillers readily available at home stores. These are some super easy household tricks to keep your laminate floors looking brand new and pristine.
